Sarah Mills

I found Yoga as a young mother of two boys, working as a high school science teacher. I’m not a sporty person; I loved the simple movements and the opportunity to reconnect with myself. I learned how to connect with my breath and not sweat the small stuff.

By the time I was able to train as a Yoga Teacher (500 hours with Tam James, YogaPhysio) I also had two little girls and practised safely throughout pregnancy. My boys are now in their 20s; I’ve practised Yoga for 23 years and have been sharing my love of Yoga through teaching for 12 years.

My classes reflect my teacher Fiona’s style of Hatha Yoga; combining Pilates for core strength, traditional Yoga with breathwork, some flow, Mudras and my own innovative sequencing & style. Every student is encouraged to build strength, flexibility and Well-Being through a practise which is gently active, focussed yet relaxed. I love Yoga for the way it makes me feel – energised and relaxed – and this is the practise I bring to students.

Nuria Gaudens

Yoga and meditation has been part of my life for almost 3 decades and I have been practicing mainly in the Iyengar Yoga tradition for the last 8 years. I started at the Yoga in Daily Life Ashram as a uni student wanting to learn to meditate, and received my first experience of Yoga Nidra, giving me a glimpse of the peace and connection in the Hridayakasha (heart space).

My educational background is in Psychology and I worked in medical research (palliative care and oncology), counselling and art therapy before training as a yoga teacher. My initiation towards teaching began in 2015 with Carrie Fields of My Health Yoga, and I continued to practice over the years with senior teachers including Tam James, Swami Muktibodhananda, and most recently Jamie Denham, Sue Everett, and Simon Marocco. Keeping my practice and knowledge consistent, I’ve spent many hours training in TCM/Yin yoga, trauma sensitive and mental health aware yoga, and children’s yoga.

I am also a qualified Pilates Instructor and Massage Therapist, incorporating a therapeutic approach in my classes and private sessions.
My intention is to offer compassion and support to students who want to experience a body-based transformation process, in a safe space.

I am a Mumma of two beautiful boys. I’m in love with life, passionate about and inspired by nature, the human spirit, our animal friends, and our planetary evolution.

I believe yoga is much more than just the world’s best system for staying healthy. The practices and philosophies of yoga energize your body, mind and soul and lead to a deep inner happiness. Although I started practicing yoga 30 years ago, it was in 2012 when I began attending daily yoga classes that I truly experienced the full benefits of yoga and discovered changes happening on the inside. My teacher training began in 2015 with the completion of over 100 hours of “immersion” in an Anusara-based system under Julie Smerdon. In 2017 I completed a further 250 hours in a Vinyasa system under Jacqui Sellers. In 2018 I travelled to India and completed 300 hours in a traditional Hatha system at Shiva Tattva in Rishikesh. I started teaching yoga classes in 2016 with a style that combines alignment and flow with a sprinkling of philosophy.

Lucky Sussmilch

My yoga journey began over 13 years ago, studying Iyengar yoga. I found Yoga to be an invaluable tool during this busy time in my life (which included the birth of my three kids). The many physical and mental benefits including flexibility, focus and the gift of taking time for myself, kept me coming back and I was hooked. In June 2017, I completed a holistic and intensive Yoga teacher training course (200hrs) that inspired my transition into the role of yoga teaching.

I find Yoga is essential to stay centred and also in tune with what is happening in our busy daily lives. My goal is to help my students connect with the mind, body and spirit. We are all continually learning and growing each day, I hope you will join me in this journey of self discovery and growth.

Sandhya Viswanath

Yoga is a part of life in India. Growing up, we were introduced to different Asanas , chanting, mudras, the aspects of diet and others as part of our everyday life. But the real discovery happened when I attended a series of lectures on chakras and how they impact our physical and mental health when the chakras are balanced. It was a real eye opener. From then on Yoga has become a real part of my life as I understood and delved deeper into it.

The interconnectedness between Yoga and life is something that everyone must experience and the beauty of it is, Yoga is for everyone; young or old, no matter what your shape, size, medical issues or injuries. It has the power to calm your mind andstrengthen you inside out. Yoga brings what you need, every single session.
I have 350 hrs of teacher training and have been teaching for the past two years. I continue my journey into the different aspects of Yoga as I learn more through everyday practise, reading and taking it into everyday life. I have recently undertaken training in sound healing with Gongs.

Patanjali’s yoga sutra 1.2 says ”yoga is the cessation of the fluctuations of the mind” May Yoga bring you calm & vitality, strength and Peace.

Rosie at Centenary Yoga 8am Saturday class

Rosie Schultz

Hi, I’m Rosie. I recently completed my 200hrs in Ubud, Bali, after several years of practicing and discovering my own yogic journey. Yoga has changed how I see and interact with the world, and every time I step onto my mat it is a new experience and challenge. Yoga was pivotal in teaching me patience while recovering from sporting injuries and a place I found both mental and physical healing. Your mat can be a place where you can find peace and growth that I want everyone to experience that in their lives.
My practice focuses on weaving together body and soul where each stretch is a step towards personal growth. Expect gentle vinyasa flows in my class, a chance to get out of your head and into your body. Let’s continue this journey together with conscious breath and fluid movement.
